This movie was shot entirely using the Lens Whacking technique on a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera at 24 fps.  This technique is achieved by holding a lens in front of the camera’s sensor without attaching it to the mount.  I used an old 50mm lens.  The beauty of this technique is the erratic focus and light leaks that come from a lens that is not sealed and secured to the camera.  It creates a homegrown or home-movie-like quality to the footage.
