I took my Panasonic GH5 camera out to the Pride Parade in Northampton, MA just to test it. When I began to view the slow-motion footage at home, I was taken aback by the pure emotion that the people exuded. Instead of writing a new song for the project, I recorded my version of the 1970’s hit that just seemed perfect for this. The footage was shot at 120 fps (in a 24 fps container) at 1080p. I only wish now that I had filmed in 4K that day. I used an ND filter that caused a lot of problems at that frame rate. But in the end, I was able to overcome them thanks to my editing/color platform of choice, Davinci Resolve.
